California Proposition 65

California Proposition 65 requires special notices for products sold in California containing certain chemicals on a list as “known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm” if the product such chemicals above a certain threshold level. Some products have this information on the product package and others will have the information printed on the shipping invoice (especially those products not manufactured in California). We care about our customers’ safety and have provide this information below to help with your buying decisions. California requires the following separate notice:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.

For products manufactured with a trace or detectable amount of lead:

Prop 65 Warning: WARNING: This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Prop 65 Warning for lead crystal: WARNING: Lead levels in our crystal glasses and other crystal containers comply with FDA standards. California requires this additional notice: WARNING: "Consuming foods or beverages that have been kept or served in leaded crystal products will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. This warning does not apply to Baccarat decanters, flacons, stoppered pitchers, mustard and jam pots."

Prop 65 Warning for ceramic tableware (marked with a yellow triangle on the packaging): "WARNING: Use of this tableware will expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm."

Prop 65 Warning for Jewelry and Tiffany Style Lamps: WARNING: This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Prop 65 Warning for Electrical Cords: WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.

Prop 65 Warning for Beauty Products: Products meet the the FDA standard. California requires a separate statement to keep California consumers informed. WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.

Prop 65 Warning for Motors: WARNING: Motor vehicles contain fuel, oils and fluids, battery posts, terminals and related accessories which contain lead and lead compounds and other chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. When being serviced, these vehicles generate used oil, waste fluids, grease, fumes and particulates, all known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.
